Technical Pre and Post Sales Consultant - Cambridge

A successful, high profile company in the Computer Hardware and Software sector is now seeking to recruit a Technical Pre and Post Sales Engineer / Consultant to be based out of Cambridge.

Whilst ideally already experienced in a sales role, the position would also suit an embedded software engineer with good interpersonal skills looking to move into a more commercially focussed, client facing role.

The ideal candidate will be HND / Degree educated in an Engineering subject and have a current full clean driving licence. You will have software applications programming experience within the 'embedded computer' industry, ideally under Linux and Windows embedded operating systems. Knowledge of JAVA an advantage. A good knowledge of TCP/IP networking and the internet would be advantageous.

Your role will be to act as a technical expert between the Engineering and Sales Departments to provide Account Managers with advance product information and system configuration information,
guide Account Managers at the technical stage when developing enquiries, acknowledging orders and winning new business. You will accompany and assist Account Managers during meetings (throughout the UK and Europe) and serve as a technical consultant to potential and existing customers, qualifying requirements and offering guidance as to the best solution.

The salary will be in the region of £40,000 to £45,000 + Benefits.

The role will suit individuals currently working as Technical Consultant, Software Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer, Pre Sales Engineer, Post Sales Engineer, Programmer, Developer, Sales Engineer and living within a commutable distance of Cambridge, East Anglia or willing to relocate.
