Solicitor - Healthcare Litigation - Cambridge

This opportunity is within the Cambridge Health Team of market leading firm. You will be responsible for dealing with a wide range of patient and public law work which are often life and death matters and/or headline news. The broad range of work will include complex issues covering:
· Consent
· Confidentiality
· Public Interest Immunity
· Complaints
· Mental Capacity Act 2005
· Best Interests
· Inquests
· Continuing Care
· Priorities
· Judicial Reviews
· Mental Health Act 1983
· List Management
· FOI and DPA
· Child Law
· Care Quality Commission

There will be a significant amount of client contact.

The successful candidate will have:
· Good academics to include a 2.1 degree and good A Levels
· A proven track record within litigation, preferably with a healthcare bias
· Excellent research skills
· Excellent written English for drafting purposes
· An ability to guide clients through problems to reach acceptable solutions
· Enthusiasm and an interest in the NHS
