1998 (R) Rover 214 1.4 Petrol in Blue. Tax till 31/01/2010, MOT till 12/11/2009 – ready to go. 3door bubble shape.

Really i would like this car gone today if possible.

This car has covered just shy of 90,000 miles and I have owned it for 6 months or so.



Honest reason for selling is I fancy a change and do not want to MOT it, I have no idea what it may need to pass a fresh MOT, everything feels okay, it seems fairly sturdy and runs fine. It is 11 years old after all and there is a loud squeak/whine when the car is first started up, this lasts for a second and that’s that, as far as i am aware, everything seems in good condition and the car runs very smoothly.



Known bad points include:



No radio, the one that was in the car when purchased was faulty; I took it out and never replaced it.



Stone chip in the window screen, very small and only noticeable if you look for it, don’t quote me, but I am fairly confident this will not cause an MOT failure as I think it’s too small.



Rear wiper isn’t very good; it only clears the top bit of the window.



There are a few bulbs out in the back, one break light and I think both reversing lights.



Dent in the rear panel, drivers side (see pics)



Average stains and chips for the age, aside from that, it still cleans up lovely.



Immobiliser works fine, but usually requires being pressed more than once to turn it off.



Apparently, so I am told, the car has central locking, which was news to me, so if it does - it doesn’t work.





Good Points.



Full sized spare tire.



The car is legally drivable as it still has MOT and tax on it.



I have never had any problems with this car nor have I ever had to spend a penny on it since buying it.



Rover alloys all around.



(in my opinion) very nice interior, the (plastic..)wood squeaks a bit, which isn’t so good, but that’s mainly because there is no stereo to hold it tight if you will.



Very nippy and great fun.



I have the V5 and current MOT cert.



Have replaced the car so looking for a quick sale, in other words, the quicker someone can come get it, the cheaper I’ll let it go for.
