Rate: £ 11.50 to £ 12.50 - per hour
A number of Elderly Nursing Homes across the Cambridgeshire area requires multiple RMNs to work days & nights on both a full time and part time basis.
Outline of duties:
To assess the current risks posed by past behaviour and build relevant risk management strategies into the rehabilitative process for our clients.
To work constructively with clinicians and professionals in the multi disciplinary team and to make a valid nursing contribution to the workings of the team.
To implement the Metal Health Act and community care legislation and to remain abreast of developments.
To engender participation by all members of the homes team. To recognise the skills and knowledge possessed by colleagues and ensure that all their potential is maximised through participation in care planning and implementation.
Lead by example and by practising motivational skills of the highest order. To be sensitive to the feelings of all staff and help maintain a happy and inspired working environment.
To acknowledge the importance of constructive activity during the residents day and ensure those programmes do occur. To identify appropriate activities.
To take charge of the home regularly and, in the absence of the manager, accept responsibility for the smooth running of all aspects of the home.
To help maintain the security of the building and its environment.
To support, question and motivate senior colleagues and managers.
To participate in programmes of education and to act as mentor when required.
To meet legislative and health and safety requirements.
To set objectives for oneself with regards to training and self-development.
To follow the NMC Code of professional conduct and ensure that staff also follow the Code.
To act as a named nurse to a small number of residents which will involve attending CPA planning meetings and making reports.
To participate in case reviews.
To help develop a therapeutic environment which meets resident needs.
To maintain, implement and assist the development of policies and procedures.
Other work which adds to the quality of working life and to the service we provide for our clients.
