In this position I have been a fulltime nanny for 3 boys aged 9 months, 5 years and 7 years old when I started, for a Muslim family. The dad lives and works in Saudi Arabia and mum is a registrar at Papworth hospital which meant I worked 5 days a week from 7.30am-7pm plus weekends and overnight stays when mum was on call. My duties included –

• Feeding, bathing, changing and generally seeing to the needs of the children
• Ironing for the children
• Cleaning the children’s rooms and playroom
• Taking the children to and from school, friends houses and clubs
• Entertaining the friends of the children
• Planning, organising and supervising the birthday parties of the children in my care
• Planning a routine to suite the needs of children as they were different ages and had different needs
• Making sure I was respectful of the religion of the family and making sure religious rules were abided by such as, a vegetarian diet for the children outside the home and a Halal diet inside the home, rinsing the children with fresh water after a bath and learning a few basic Urdu words so I could greet extended family when they visited the children or when speaking to them on the phone.
• The 2 eldest had a very busy schedule of after school activities and extra tuition lessons everyday day of the week which I took them to and from and made sure they had things they needed. They then moved to a private education school in the centre of Cambridge which meant more homework and activities which I did with them.
• Also because the children visited foreign countries often I had to make sure their vaccinations were up to date and when needed I had to administer malaria pills etc.

Hobbies and interests.

I enjoy swimming, going to the cinema and socialising with my family and friends. I love going out on trips whether it be to the zoo, seaside or just a shopping trip with my fiancé and friends. I also like having one to one trips out with my god-children be it to the park or out for a milkshake
