The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a Sous Chef to work for a fast growing company who offer you the potential to enhance your skills, learn, progress your career, and of course, an extremely competitive salary. Experience at a similar level within a branded restaurant is preferable, but more so is the passion to work with quality ingredients, freshly prepared and cooked to perfection. The emphasis here is on the quality of the output.
The Sous Chef
The successful Sous Chef will be good at developing strong team bonds in a busy, energetic kitchen, whilst maintaining the ability to work under pressure and overcome all challenges. Answering to the Head Chef, the Sous Chef will be required to assist him across the board; therefore the potential Sous Chef should have excellent communication skills, and a sound knowledge of costing and stock control. Obviously the candidate will ensure that the highest of standards are met in accordance with company specifications. The successful Sous Chef will have the desire to work with fresh food, and posses the skill that it requires, ideally qualified to NVQ Level 2, whilst showing high levels of commitment and self-motivation, they could quite possibly have a lot of experience as a Chef de Partie and are looking to take their career to the next level.
