Want to try something different? Try Korfball.
What is Korfball?
Korfball is an exciting, all-action sport with similarities to basketball, handballor netball. It's an excellent leisure activity for improving general fitness. Korfball is played indoors over the winter and we compete in outdoor tournaments over the summer.
Why is it different?
Korfball teams must consist of 4 men and 4 women. The rules are constructed so that men and women, short and tall young and old can all compete on an equal footing.
Phoenix Korfball club is a vibrant and social club with players of all standards and ages. During the 2008/9 season we have 4 teams across all divisions of the Cambridge Korfball Association (CKA) league and 1 team in the South East Regional League. In the summer we attend tournaments both near and far!
We practice every Monday (except bank holidays) between 8:15pm and 10:15pm at:
College Sports Hall,
Cambridge Regional College,
Kings Hedges Road,
Cambridge
CB4 2QT.
Anyone is welcome to turn up and give the game a try, including complete beginners.
The first few sessions are free so it won't cost a penny
