1 The speedo is in MPH (not tacky paint blobs at 30 and 40)
2 I fit a grease nipple at the swivel bearing .
3 Because of the large number of pot holes and poorly repaired roads in Cambridgeshire we became aware that the factory rear suspension unit was unable to cope with our road surfaces and commisioned Harris Performance Parts to design and build a superior component this in conjunction with Ohlins suspension they have done. The ride even on the poorest sufaces is now excellent. (Owners of Vouge 150s contact me if you would like the new suspension unit fitted to your scooters.)
Capable of achieving around 100 mpg when run in/carefully used.
The engine on this machine is a chain driven overhead camshaft 150cc air-cooled unit it is based on an engine built in tens of thousands and is very reliable.
Purchasers of this scoot outside of 50 mile radius from Wisbech must be able to do simple tasks on it,replacement parts will be supplied free of charge during the guarantee (not wearing parts) but you will have to fit.
Unless its a catastrophic failure,in which I will collect, repair, return at no cost.
You can buy in confidence,I ride my black one every day, done nearly 7000 miles with no real problems,I havent just bought some and next week I vanish,I'm here for the long haul.
ANSWER TO RECENT QUESTION,
Hi Tibor,When I let the magazine 'Twist and Go' have a machine to test, the tester observed that it was 'skitterish' at the rear end,I carried out tests on various road conditions and came to the conclusion that there was no damping on the rear monostrut.I took one to a suspension specialist and they confirmed the strut didn't work and could cause the machine to crash especially when cornering in the wet. They commissoned Olins to build a working unit.
The conversion is to replace the existing damper with a cast aluminum one but using the original spring.I had to build a spring compressor to do this as the spring is very strong.I would need the spring off your unit.Fitting is quite straight forward, except because the new damper is slightly fatter, on some machines I have had to grind off a small part of the bracket web with a 4" grinder.Once fitted its unbelievable how much smoother and controlled the ride is.The unit fitted with your spring is £270+ post £3.75 If you could get the machine to Wisbech you could try one.Let me have your email and I will send pics of new unit.
Regards,Bill Hill.
