IDOL Senior Technical Consultant

Our client, a large international organisation is seeking to recruit an IDOL Senior Technical Consultant for their office in Cambridgeshire

The Job Role

You will be required to troubleshoot and implement IDOL based systems, as well as being a major part in the infrastructure and system design process to ensure that project delivery meets technical and quality requirements

Responsibilities

• Gather and understand business requirements from the client and advise on solutions to meet the requirements.
• Installation, configuration and optimization of IDOL based systems
• Documentation relating to system configuration and testing
• Migration of systems from one infrastructure to another
• Run technical design and configuration workshops (Internal and Client)
• System health checks, analysis and diagnosis of under-performing systems.
• Assisting in documentation of best practices and disseminating this knowledge throughout the team
• Liaising with the customer on implementation progress
• Applying upgrades and custom updates to client production systems.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in the delivery of Information Management systems as well as:

• Fluent in English
• A First class honours or 2:1 degree from prominent university.
• 5+ years of experience in the deployment of Information Management systems.
• 7- 10 Years experience in IT in general
• Ability to map customer requirements to product capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and evaluate new technologies
• Strong analytical, design and presentation skills
• Proven ability in delivering successful projects
• Commercial awareness
• Proven ability to successfully implement and deliver software solutions through the entire life cycle
• Practical experience / implementation knowledge of the following technologies:
o Windows, Solaris, Linux
o SQL, Oracle
o Citrix, Clustering and VM Ware
o LAN / WAN
o IIS, Apache Tomcat

Salary: £35-45k
