With over 380 employees in the UK and still rapidly expanding, our client is looking for experienced Assembler Programmers to join the core technology department utilising the latest, cutting edge technologies. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join a fast paced, rapidly expanding games company in Cambridge helping them achieve their ambitious goals for 2010 and beyond.

Whether it is using C, C++ or Java you will work on high profile, challenging projects which typically include working with code libraries, game engines and bespoke tool chain. In more detail you will:

• Work on core technology libraries, including 3d engine, using a mixture of highly optimised C and Assembler for cutting edge performance.
• Research new technologies, platforms and ideas.
• Develop bespoke tools in parallel to the 3d engine, so they complement each other for the best result.
• Produce, maintain tools and look after the documentation of code.

In return your CV will need to demonstrate strong assembler programming experience, a thorough knowledge in either: C, C++ or Java as well highlighting an understanding of 3D graphic techniques.

Ultimately we are seeking a first class Assembler Programmer that has a passion for programming, a high technical competence and the ability to think creatively to solve complex coding problems. Any experience in the gaming industry or knowledge of x86 architecture is advantageous.
