Service Manager
Service Manager - A fantastic and rewarding opportunity has arisen in Cambridgeshire for a talented Service Manager to join an organisation who strives to empower people with disabilities.
As the Service Manager you will be working in one of the most rewarding jobs available in the current market, as you will be involved in helping disabled people live independently. The organisation provide innovative and leading edge community development initiatives in the sphere of employment, sport and recreation.
Key Responsibilities:
Take a lead role in supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living skills
Support and participate in the day to day activities of service users ensuring they have a high quality home and social life
Respect and advocate the needs and wishes of people supported
Ensure active records are maintained in relation to the individuals plans
Review and update support packages
To check finances of the people supported and to complete relevant documentation
Attend regular internal and external meetings
Team Lead Responsibilities:
Ensure staff are supported and they are aware of what is expected of them
To guide and mentor the staff team acting as an appropriate role model
Support and supervise the staff team on a regular basis
Take part in a 365x7x24 on call rota, and manage shift patterns
Identify and then to support any training needs of the staff team
Take a lead role in team meetings
Ensure staff adhere to any relevant legislation
Complete Monthly and Quarterly Staff returns on a prompt basis
Key Requirements:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team where required
A clean driving license
Relevant qualifications NVQ in Social Care
Ability to make own decisions, problem solving, analysing and evaluating
Promote new and innovative approaches
Experience working in a similar industry, caring for the disabled, working in a charity or equivalent
Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour, and the successful candidate will be required to work shifts on the floor.
Experience of Supported Living is desirable
Salary: £22,000 - £25,000
