This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, driven and passionate Chef to join our business, the White Horse in Oakington. The ideal candidate for this position would be a proven Head from a similar environment or a Sous Chef with proven experience looking for a Head chef position

Your role as Chef will involve training kitchen staff, menu planning, and stock ordering, maintaining health & safety standards, and working with the front of house to ensure a happy, fun but busy working environment.
Key Skills:
Ability to demonstrate kitchen and culinary skills- knowledge of pastry, excellent food presentation & excellent hygiene practices are a must.
Proven Kitchen Manager with a financial understanding
Ability to work under pressure in what will be a high volume busy kitchen
Team player and strong team builder
A high standard of personal presentation
Confident, professional, welcoming & fun personality.
Prompt, reliable and prepared to get stuck in to all aspects of kitchen work


The White Horse in Oakington is a quintessential English country pub. We are looking for a dynamic enthusiastic chef to develop our Traditional British Menu and complete our mission of supplying great quality locally sourced pub food in a welcoming lively atmosphere.

Basic Salary £24,000 - £27,000 p.a
On site Accommodation could be made available, subject to discussion
24 days paid holiday each year
