Our client is recruiting a Nurse Care Manager for their small Care Home in Peterborough.

The home is a registered Care Home with Nursing providing specialist and continuing care for the young physically disabled requiring professional support within an independent living environment.

The home is high specification facility comprising a 15 bed Specialist Care Home that truly allows independent living - each bedroom is catered for from within the home as well as having direct external private access.

Client's are aged from 18 - 65 with disabilities including Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Head/Brain Injuries, Hearing/Speech Impairment, Huntingdon's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Stroke and Visual Impairment.

Services include, short stay care, day care, Physiotherapy, independent living training, assisted living, own GP (if required), Gardens and a bar/cafe on premises.

The Nurse Care Manager is the leader, and a working member of the nursing team. He/she has overall responsibility for the management of the home, maintenance of high standards of care and monitoring the performance of staff. To ensure that standards are maintained and that adequate cover is provided, the Manager will be expected, from time to time to work at night, at weekends and on Bank Holidays.

The Nurse Care Manager is designated as the �Person in Charge� in accordance with Nursing and Service userial Care Home registration requirements and will work within the general nursing philosophy specified in the homes Policy Manual and the Statement of Purpose.

Applicants should be a first level Registered Nurse and preferably hold the Registered Manager�s Award, level 4 and have a minimum of 5 years relevant management experience together with experience of the young physically disabled.
