We have a number of vacancies within our coffee shops at Addenbrookes Hospital. Previous experience of working within a coffee outlet such as Costa or AMT is essential.

Positions Available.

25 hours per week plus overtime - Any 5 out of 7
or
15 hours - 7.5 Saturday and Sunday.

Job Description

1. Ensure that you and the team treat all customers in a polite, friendly, efficient manner, always making eye contact with a smile.
2. Respond to the pace of the business in terms of service and productivity
3. Maintain a cheerful, positive attitude when under pressure.
4. Demonstrate sound knowledge of the Costa brand and products
5. Handle customer comments in a professional manner
6. Communicate and cooperate with team members in a caring and helpful manner
7. Help secure team brand audit targets and sales growth initiatives
8. Attend all brand training courses and briefings as required
9. Punctual and consistent attendance in compliance with the weekly roster
10. Demonstrate full competence in
a. Achieving the perfect espresso, in frothing and texturing milk and in producing the coffee menu to brand specification
b. In producing the full range of freshly made food to brand standard

11. Complete Costa coffee checks.
12. Comply with health, hygiene and safety standards in demonstrating acceptable monthly performance targets
13. Maintain unit display and back wall merchandising in accordance with brand guidelines
14. Deliver consistently excellent product quality to guarantee customer satisfaction
15. Maintain good standards of personal hygiene, uniform and general appearance.
16. Deliver brand promotions and marketing initiatives to increase revenue, maintain market leadership and integrity
17. Participate in, share ideas and contribute towards teams success in achieving all unit targets
18. Minimise waste and maximise sales targets through employing the brands suggestive selling techniques. You should ensure you and the team around you up sell to every customer.
19. Follow company cash and till handling policy and security procedures
20. To ensure fridge and freezer temperatures are done daily, am and pm and recorded on the temperature sheet.
21. To be knowledgeable of how all equipment works and where to report defects to.
22. To ensure any cleaning tasks are completed as requested on the cleaning schedule.
23. To place orders as required with stores. These orders should be completed accurately to ensure product availability.
24. To perform any other reasonable requests from your line manager.
