The Company:
Our client is a specialist localization company with years of experience of translating and adapting software products and documentation into a large range of languages for use across the world. They are looking for a German Speaking Senior ITTranslator based in Barcelona
The Role:
My client is ideally looking for a qualified translator who can translate from English into German with at least 5 years translation experience in IT industry/localisation. You will be translating software, online help, user documentation and websites, etc. Familiarity with translation tools such as Trados, Workbench, Idiom, Catalyst, Pasolo, Framemaker is a plus, but more essential is an above average command of your mother tongue and a keen interest in IT and new technologies
Candidate Profile:
Candidates should have up to a degree-level education, either in translation, modern languages,
Journalism or similar.
- The candidate must be a senior translator with a minimum of 3 years full-time professional
experience in localization (ideally you would have worked with SDL) or technical translation.
- Candidate must have in-depth knowledge of Trados, Workbench, Idiom, Catalyst, Pasolo,
Framemaker etc.
- Must have excellent linguistic and people skills, and have had some experience coordinating
and supervising a team.
