I'm a guitarist, songwriter and singer with a huge number of songs with great potential. Influences include people like Nick Drake, John Martyn, Jose Gonzalez but I'm very eclectic and love people from Florence and Radiohead to Aretha and Nina Simone.

Whilst it's mostly acoustic at the moment, there's is potential both for a full band and studio messing around - I want to start with something organic but the direction forward is open.

The aim: to make a beautiful record, play gigs, get stuff on the radio, get proper representation, etc

Your singing: you need to be strong yet sensitive, I’m interested in purer, clearer sounds with real emotion rather than X-Factor Mariah types…..

While I like singing, this aspect is all new to me and I'm not certain how much I want to do. So what I really want is a creative, open-minded probably female singer who can take on some of the singing duties - lead in some, perhaps backing in others. If your voice sounds better for the song, perhaps you'll end up doing most of them, but we'll just see how it goes. I think the boy/girl vocal dynamic can work really well, so let's see what happens.

A couple of things about me: I'm 37 and live in Cambridge. I have a home recording set up but I'm also planning to go into the studio in Cambridge soon.

About you: I really need to hear a link to a myspace or an mp3 as I can't really audition people without one. Really important is that you really want to do something and can be committed to the right project. It's unfortunate that I'm a bit jaded because after placing previous ads and working with people for a month or so, often it's fizzled out due to lack of commitment. So I need someone who is thinking longer term....and is not flakey!
