Hi, i'm not sure where to start, or where to look, so Gumtree is my first shot!

I'm a 20 year old male, residing in a small village 20 minutes from Cambridge city centre.
I am very interested in starting a career based around child care. Although i have had no previous experience or training in the past (Job-wise) i have been looking after a 6 month old boy, and a 2 1/2 year old girl for some time. This is where my interest in child work came from.
My mother used to be a baby sitter too, now she works at a local school with children with learning disabilities.
I'm not directly looking for a job, but more training, or a chance to prove myself to the employer.
I have a clean criminal record, no warnings and convictions, and have spent a long time being around children. I have picked up on all the basics (Nappy changing, getting up, putting to sleep, feeding, entertaining etc...) to the more complicated things such as making bottles or milk and sterilization.

If anyone can give me any advice or directions on where to look, or what i could do to start a career in child care, it would be greatly appreciated.
