Web Team Manager
URGENT - Web Team Manager required for temporary position
This is a key role in helping our client to implement its Web Strategy and Customer Access Strategy and to achieve its medium term objectives. You will lead the web team in working with departments to improve the range and quality of information and transactions on the client’s website. You will also lead the web team in producing copy for the website, overseeing technical and developmental improvements and helping authors to improve their content on the web to develop a more customer focused website. You need to have a good understanding of website content and development, be enthusiastic about the use of the web for providing information, be customer focused and enjoy working with people. You will report to the Corporate Marketing and Communications Manager.
•Experience of managing or supervising staff
•In depth experience of producing, planning, editing and managing content for a major website
•Working in a structured manner on major web projects.
•Working in a professional environment and liaising with a wide range of people at all levels
•Editorial or journalism experience

•A high level of literacy and an eye for detail
•Numeracy
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Good general ICT skills
•Negotiation skills

•Web page content and development skills
•Able to prioritise and use initiative
•Excellent understanding of websites and the internet
•Understanding of web design and authoring
