Test Network Manager
Working for a cutting edge business in Cambridge
The Job holder will be required to:
Execute the design and setup of extensions to our test network
Ensure the test network is running as required to provide a high quality test environment for the rest of the QA team
Liaise with our Operations Team to ensure the test and live network configurations are consistent.
Work with our Operations Team to refine release roll-out procedures
Assist in the deployment of test packages on to the test networks and monitor the operation of the software under test to provide early warning of potential quality problems
Maintain, configure and operate the load generation, latency generation and other test environment components used to exercise or challenge the test network.
Educate, inform and advise other members of the Development Team on matters regarding the operation, structure, use and availability of the test networks
Work with the QA Lead, Head of Engineering and Chief Architect to ensure the development and advancement of the test networks mirror those planned for the live network, including the timely identification of purchase lists and the alleviations of other constraints such as power and HVAC limitations.
You will have experience in:
Network Management of linux and Windows based networks
Linux and Windows Server SysAdmin skills
A good understanding of SMTP, Nagios, and other common network monitoring and control technologies
