An Independent school in West Herts are looking for a girls PE teacher who can also teach Geography to cover maternity leave from January 2010 for at least 2 terms.

The School:

The school is both day and boarding and has students from 3 -13 years of age set in acres of beautiful grounds, this prep school provides a wonderful learning environment for their students. Facilities at the school comprise of a large sports hall, hard courts for tennis, a large heated swimming pool, as well as areas for the students to roller blade in their free time and croquet lawns to add a twist to developing essential sporting skills.

The Person:

You will need to have experience in teaching girls PE and Geography as your classes will be co-ed Geography years 5 - 8 and girls games and PE to years 3 - 8. If you have previous experience in teaching in an independent environment that will be benificial as you will have knowledge of supporting Year 8 students through scholoarships or common entrance exams.

Travel:

Within easy reach of North London and Central London as the trains are frequent and direct you could happily commute to this school. You are on good road links with the M25 and M1 just a short distance from the school. All major airports are a short drive away so weekends in Europe would not be impossible!
