Research participants needed at University of Cambridge

Date posted: Thursday 15th October
Location: Cambridge

The Centre for Speech, Language and the Brain in the Department of Experimental Psychology, University of Cambridge, urgently needs new right-handed, native speakers of British English to take part in our simple language tests.

The tests take place in our lab on the Downing site and at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit on Chaucer Road, and can be arranged at a time to suit you (including after work). We ask that you complete at least one lab-based test and one MRI scan with us - how much you do after that is entirely up to you. You will be compensated for your time and a contribution towards your travel expenses.

Ideally you should be aged 40-60 years of age although we are very happy with any new volunteer who is over 18 and under 90 years of age.

The results of the experiments are helping us to understand how the brain comprehends and processes language, how damage to the brain may affect the language system, and how ageing affects language abilities.
