Field Application Engineer (Fae Power Management
An experienced Field Applications Engineer (FAE) is required for this supplier of analog / mixed-signal ASIC components and system level IC chipset / semiconductor technology. The position will be based out of San Jose (California, USA) in the Silicon Valley and does require a candidate to be based in the area.
The core aspects of this job opportunity are related to technical aspects of customer satisfaction, demand creation, and input to new ASIC, IC, or ASSP product development. You will be providing technical design support to customers during pre and post sales phases for design-in wins. You will interface with IC Design Engineering Departments at major multinational companies on a daily basis and you will create applications that includes the development of PCB board level Design Kits for product evaluation (covering both hardware and software). Typical customers applications are for cellular phone, smart phone, portable electronics, personal media players, battery powered or handheld products, all the way through to in-vehicle infotainment and automobile / automotive applications.
You will need to come from a design engineering background with competent hands-on technical acumen covering the likes of analogue electronics, power management, battery management, ADC or DAC circuits and applications. Regular travel (including international) will be required as will excellent written, verbal and face to face communication skills.
