Cristina is a 20 year-old Romanian girl from Bucharest, the capital of Romania. She is a student in her first year at the Faculty of Business and Marketing. She wants to quit her studies or to change to distance learning.

She wants to be an au pair because she likes children and she thinks she would like to be a big sister. She’d also like to improve her English skills. She has no preference to the type of location where she will be placed.

Cristina likes listening to music, dancing and surfing the web. She is available from 1st of September and would like to work as an au pair for one year.

Childcare Experience: Cristina has some experience with children. She used to take care of her neighbor’s son, Mario, during the summer holiday; the boy was 6 years old. She used to spend many hours a day with him, to prepare and take him to kindergarten. When she was taking care of him she used to walk with him and the dog in the park, to play with him and they always had dinner together. She said that his parents were very satisfied with her because she and the boy created a really strong relationship between themselves. She thinks she learnt from this experience that she needs to be responsible and she is sure she appreciates much better what a child needs.

English Skills: Her English was basic/fair and I had to repeat some questions in order for her to understand it.

Housework: Cristina is prepared to undertake light housework (tidying/ vacuuming/ dusting), shopping (Food, Groceries), care for older children, washing, ironing, gardening, handiwork and caring for pets.

Character: Cristina considers herself trustful, serious, funny, friendly, responsible, sensitive, and organizer. She thinks that Mum would say that she is shy when she knows someone. She says that after she knows a person better, she has no problems and will adapt to living with a new family.

Driving: Cristina has not passed her driving test.

Family: She lives with her Father. Her Father is 54 years old and is working for the national railway. She has two sisters who are older; they are 32 and 28 years old.
