To carry out the full range of duties of an Environmental Health Officer in relation to the assigned work team/work area – namely Food & Occupational Safety (FOS), Environmental Protection (EP) and Housing Standards (HS).

EHO PERSON SPECIFICATION

-Able to communicate well at all levels, able to present facts and argue in a balanced manner.
-Have the ability to coordinate and organise workload
-Comfortable with the use of ICT in general. Familiarity with current legislation
-A Diploma or Degree in Environmental Health. Certificate of Registration of the Environmental Health Registration Board
-Energetic, prepared to accept responsibility and deal with the public in a positive manner.
-Flexible approach to the needs of the service of working hours.
-A positive attitude to equal opportunities, customer care and care for the environment
-Ability to move around the City in response to public demands
-A team worker, but with the ability to work alone and unsupervised. -
-Flexible and able to react quickly, with integrity and in a practical fashion.
