Required on behalf of our dynamic client to assist in the validation and verification of the company’s hardware and software products during a peak in development.

Our client is a young business in the green sector producing a range of engaging real time energy displays that help people reduce their energy consumption and save money. They have a number of products both in production and under development and have a short term peak in testing to manage.

Consequently they are looking for an enthusiastic Contract Test Engineer with an eye for detail to assist in the validation and verification of the company’s hardware and software products. The position will report to the Test Manager and include the development and execution of test scripts. The successful candidate will be able to liaise with support and development to confirm and record bugs.

Who are you?
You should have a solid testing background and in particular demonstrate the inquisitive nature that this role requires. In particular you should:
Have worked as a Test Engineer in a commercial environment for a minimum of 3 years
Experience of web automation tools for multiple platforms and operating systems (particularly Selenium).
Can demonstrate understanding and familiarity with databases (particularly MySQL).
Exposure to various testing techniques.
Exposure to an agile environment (SCRUM).
Qualified to ISEB/ISTQB Software Testing Foundation Level.
Technical, analytical and able to quickly pick up new technologies
