Language assistant to the project management group (1 for Cambridge, 1 for Montpellier)

Alpha CRC Ltd., a privately owned localisation service provider, specialising in translation, localisation and internationalisation of software, documentation and web-content for foreign-language markets, has a new opening for a Production Assistant position in our Cambridge office.
The production assistants are key team players in the Alpha CRC production environment and are directly responsible for assisting the management of projects in accordance with established methodologies and standards.
Alpha CRC is currently looking for a highly-motivated individual to join our Project Management team. The successful candidate will interface with our project managers. Applicants need to have strong IT skills and previous localisation experience. Ideally, tThey should be familiar with Trados Translator's Workbench and other common translation and localisation tools (Idiom Workbench, Catalyst, Pasolo, Helium, SDLX ...)
Responsibilities include:
· Assist the Project Management team in such tasks as project analysis and file preparation
· Assist in the production and delivery of the required outputs from the project
· Understand the life cycle of projects and act proactively to guarantee successful results
· Assist the Project Managers in administrative tasks and project handling
· Liaise with internal and external teams
· Effectively use localisation tools and widely-used localisation packages, ranging from engineering to desktop publishing applications, including translation memory tools.
· Maintain working knowledge of computers, and a highly disciplined and organized approach.
· Maintain adequate documentation of undertaken projects
· Assist in normal office operations such as project set-up, maintenance and archiving
· Report directly to Project Managers
· Help to improve internal processes
· Maintain good working relationships with other departments
