Capital Projects Officer
This role is vital to the Estates Team in ensuring the high-quality delivery of all capital construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring the highest standards are met throughout the hospital in any refurbishment or alteration work required and updating all of the information systems and undertaking surveys to ensure accurate estates records are kept.
It is essential that all applicants must possess a minimum of an HNC / HND in a relevant Building / Engineering subject as well as considerable experience of managing design and construction processes for capital projects. They will also need experience of managing substantial capital budgets and a detailed knowledge of sustainability and carbon reduction techniques. Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation is also vital with specific regard to construction and estate management.
The key responsibilities of the role will include: undertaking feasibility studies on potential projects, managing design and costing work including all paperwork, managing the tender process for multi million pound projects, manage relationships between the trust and the chosen consultant / contractor, take responsibility for budgetary control of all schemes and ensure all legal processes are followed and evidenced.
