Hello,

We are a busy family with 2 girls who are 9 and 10 years. We are looking for a kind, loving, responsible, motivated and enthusiastic aupair who will live with us as part of our family to start with us as soon as possible

You need to be:
1. Female with valid drivers license.
2. Living in the UK or able to arrive as soon as possible.
3. Available to start in September or early October at the latest
4. Have proven experience looking after children & can provide references to verify this.
5. Your passport and work permit (if applicable) must be valid (we hope to have you with us on great trips)
6. Able to speak & understand English to a proficient level.
7. Interested in staying with us for a year.

As our aupair, we would like you to work approximately 30 hours per week plus one night babysitting. We will work out the exact hours with you but they are concentrated on mornings and evenings. In general you will therefore be free for much of the daytime to pursue your studies. We would like you to be flexible particularly during the school holidays.

Your main activities as aupair will be
1. To help out with the children in the mornings (getting them up, dressed and breakfast) & tidy up afterwards.
2. Driving them to school.
3. Taking them to afterschool activities, the park, playground, organising playdates, etc.
4. Helping with tea, and getting the girls ready for bed (telling them time for their shower, etc) They can get ready for bed on their own. Bedtime is 8pm
5. House maintenance - groceries once per week and help with keeping the home tidy
6. One evening babysitting per week.
7. Ideally we would like someone who is interested in cooking.


A little about us. We are a Canadian family living in Cambridge. We are very relaxed and enjoy life to the full. Both girls attend a village school which is 8 miles from our home. I sometimes work from home as well as do shift work at the hospital. We enjoy the outdoors and make the most of the wonderful parks around us. Our children love swimming, cycling and general outdoor activities.

Where we live. We are living in the city of Cambridge on the south end. We love Cambridge, it is a wonderful, safe city full of activities - parks, shopping, cinemas and a short hop to the city centre. It is excellently serviced by public transport to all areas of Cambridge city centre. Cambridge has lots of young families many of whom have aupairs and nannies so there are lots of opportunities to meet new friends. Aslo because there are two universities and several colleges you can easily find courses if interested.

The position is for a live in aupair so your food and living plus pocket money is included. We will pay you weekly and depending on your experience will offer £75-80 per week. You will have your own room, TV and DVD, WIFI Internet access.
