1992 Gibson Les Paul Classic (Serial Number 2-3199) (£1,850)
1992 Gibson Les Paul – Classic (Serial Number 2-3199)
With MIII Ribbeloff Pick up arrangement
This Les Paul Classic - MIII set up is unique and what makes this guitar not just interesting but very special and everyone who watches you at sound-check taking it out of the case, will look curiously and ask all about it.
This is a very rare LP classic '92 MIII, in Heritage Cherry sunburst, with original PU’s.
Only 120 were exported out of the States (in October 1992)
On the Headstock; the script says "Les Paul Model" NOT "Classic" again as used in later years on the budget range.
The Pick ups - H/S/H - mean you can switch to either Les Paul or Strat-Mode - which is VERY cool
The pickups of the MIII are really, really, believe me, really HOT!
The MIII (bridge PU) will really burn with a good amp.
Singing tones, endless sustain - it's a true Gibson.
The PU-system is a very interesting one.
You can use it like a Strat with 3 SCs
A Les Paul with 2 HBs
And a very odd out-of-phase Sound (How do you do, Mr. Page!) that just encourages to play outside of your box.
Could go on but its really better if YOU play it see what you can find!
It doesn’t sound quite like a Fender Strat (phewth) but has such a great range, who cares? – it’s BETTER!
From the natural blues growl you expect from your Les Paul it just grows and grows…
Try the Neck-SC with a Tube Screamer and a clean tube amp - the Vaughn-fans will love you.
Have I mentioned Metal?
Well, connected to the right amp the MIII is able of producing those NU-Metal-Sounds the kids love so much.
For the Indie-Pop-Rock-guys out there, this guitar is capable of making some serious twangy, crispy tones, that can make you join Depeche Mode (Enjoy the Silence), Franz Ferdinand (1st album).
The controls are pretty cool...One 3-way selector and one 2-way toggle switch.
The selector switch activates:
a). the front pick-up (front position)
b). the middle and back pickup together (middle position)
c). and the back pickup (back position).
The toggle switches between humbucker or single coil sounds.
This is a rare opportunity for you to own something special the price reflects that £1,850.00
I've put pictures here if you want more detailed pics sent me your email address and I'll send some. But in all honesty you really need to come n look at it and try a few numbers out. Bring the dosh 'cause it will pain you to have to leave it behind whilst you go away to find the dosh.
Please only serious enquiries, I hate slapping idiots on the back of the head!
